Skiing and sustainability are two of the most significant and influential aspects of my life. I strive to live sustainably, making mindful choices in everything from my purchasing habits to my travel methods. However, skiing presents a complex challenge to my values and ethics. The ski industry, unfortunately, is rife with greenwashing, irony, and hypocrisy, making it difficult to reconcile my love for the sport with my commitment to the environment. In this space, I hope to explore the current state of the industry, the potential future ahead, and what we can do to make a meaningful impact.

Snowsports Environmental Workshop
In my final year at university, I founded a workshop called 'SEW,' designed to educate members about the impact of our lifestyle choices on the environment and the positive changes we can make.
The workshop covered a range of topics, including how the banks we choose invest our money, sustainable travel options to the mountains, and ways to inspire change within our personal networks.
I reached out to Protect Our Winters UK, and they were eager to support and sponsor both our club and workshop. One of their volunteers also gave us an insightful talk, adding great value to our discussions.
